- I have and use Main Actor Pro and Magic Lantern (think it is 2.0).
- Each has its strengths but I tend to use MA for about 90% of my anims
- intended for my Picasso board.
-
- Main Actor does have many more features and IMHO is somewhat faster and
- easier to use. So far, I've not been able to play Picasso anims using
- Main Actors player. Have to load the anim back into MA and then play it.
-
- Magic Lantern has more options to allow you to balance between anim file
- size (24 bit anims can be incredibly huge) and playback speed. The anim
- players with Magic Lantern are freely distributable and work (on my
- Picasso-II anyway).
-
- Picasso anims created in Main Actor seem to be smaller than anims created
- in Magic Lantern (using the automatic selection between speed and file
- compression). But then, whats two or three megabytes on a 25MB anim ;)
